Help teachers and students connect during COVID by buying a teacher a second screen.
Why two screens?
Adding a second screen allows a teacher to see their students’ faces on one screen and their lesson plans on the other. A second screen can improve online productivity 20-30% (NYTimes).
“Second monitors are lifesavers. Imagine trying to run a video call, slides, and class notes on a 13” laptop screen.”
— Mr. Stowell, Principal, Greenwood Elementary, Seattle WA
How it works
Donors: Fill out a form and we’ll match you with a teacher. A 23” monitor costs about $150. You’ll have it shipped to the teacher’s school.
Teachers: Fill out a form and we’ll match you with a donor. The donor will buy you a free 23” monitor. We’ll help you pick the right video cable.
Public school K-12 teachers anywhere in the U.S. can request a monitor.

How to help: We need the help of individual donors as well as foundations and corporate partners. Plus, folks who can get the word out to as many public school teachers and school district leaders as possible.
Our goal: Deliver 250,000 monitors to public school K-12 teachers for the fall semester of 2020.
Who built this? Matt Lerner with help from my co-founder Mike Mathieu. Thanks to Dave Peck, Kenshi Kawaguchi, and Jesse Kocher for writing code to automatically and securely match teachers and donors. Thanks to Peter Lindburg for managing partnerships.
Most importantly, thanks to all of the people donating monitors and to our teachers for everything they do for our kids.
